Dan Heck, professional jazz guitarist, recording artist, composer and educator has relocated from New York City with his wife and professional jazz singer, Rebecca Richardson, to pursue their musical ambitions on a more tropical stage. Located in Naples, Florida, Dan and Rebecca currently perform locally, in a variety of jazz formats and environments, be it a casual duo poolside, or a full band for a formal affair. Whatever the engagement, they bring refined professionalism, energy and musical sophistication, which naturally translates to great audience appeal. (For our performance schecule click here)

Dan, a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, moved to Seattle in 1993 and began establishing his professional jazz reputation there. As a founding member of the band "Bebop and Destruction", he experienced national success and recognition for his efforts, winning several awards and recording three critically acclaimed CD's with the group. He also met Rebecca Richardson, a talented vocalist from the jazz department at Cornish College of the Arts, who later became his wife and current musical partner. Together they have spent the last five years pursuing their musical dreams in fabulous New york City, working in famous venues such as the Blue Note, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Kavehaz, Flute, the Pierre Hotel, Cleopatra's Needle, and the French Consulate with a wealth of incredible musicians.

Rebecca, a Seattle native and graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, has worked with the Seattle Symphony, Civic Light Opera, The Dickens Carolers, Spirit Cruises, Hank Lane Orchestra and at the aforementioned NYC venues. She has appeared in commercials, radio advertisements, and on television, with Disney and our own local Fox 4 channel. Here in Naples, she is regularly performing at the Ritz Carlton, Campiello Ristorante and a multitude of other venues.

On the classical side, Rebecca works with Opera Naples, directs the Naples Carolers (Click here for info) and serves as primary soloist for Unity of Naples Church. She is preparing a classical showcase series for the 2008 - 2009 season, so keep your eyes on our performance calendar come Fall.

In addition to performing Rebecca also directs musical theatre workshops through the Sugden Theatre KidzAct program (Click here for more info) and Etudes de Ballet and currently teaches piano and voice privately in her home studio.
