Dan Heck, professional jazz Guitarist and Bassist, recording artist, composer and educator relocated to Naples from New York City. After graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he moved to Seattle in 1993 and began establishing his professional jazz reputation there. As a founding member of the band "Bebop and Destruction", he experienced national success and recognition for his efforts, winning several awards and recording four critically acclaimed CD's with the group. He also met Rebecca Richardson, a talented jazz vocalist who later became his wife and current musical partner. Together, they spent five years pursuing their musical dreams in fabulous New York City, working in famous venues such as the Blue Note, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Kavehaz, Flute, the Pierre Hotel, Cleopatra's Needle, and the French Consulate with a wealth of incredible musicians.
He currently performs locally in a variety of jazz venues to enthusiastic audiences. He also has assembled and books a variety of ensembles - from a casual duo to a full band for formal affairs.
